Promulgu\u00e9e le 6 mai 2024 par le chef de l\u2019Etat, Faure Essozimna Gnassingb\u00e9, la nouvelle Loi fondamentale est publi\u00e9e au journal officiel. Cette constitution est celle qui fait basculer le Togo du r\u00e9gime semi-pr\u00e9sidentiel au un r\u00e9gime parlementaire. Les points essentiels \u00e0 retenir de cette nouvelle Constitution sont entre autres les conditions d\u2019\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9 du futur pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique. Ce dernier ne sera plus \u00e9lu au suffrage universel direct mais par les d\u00e9put\u00e9s et s\u00e9nateurs. Toujours sur les conditions d\u2019\u00e9ligibilit\u00e9, l\u2019\u00e2ge du Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique est revu \u00e0 la hausse. Pour pr\u00e9tendre \u00eatre \u00e0 ce poste honorifique, m\u00eame si la Constitution lui octroie quelques pouvoirs, le candidat, selon l\u2019article 36 de la Nouvelle Loi, doit \u00ab \u00eatre \u00e2g\u00e9 d\u2019au moins cinquante (50) ans r\u00e9volus \u00e0 la date du d\u00e9p\u00f4t de la candidature \u00bb.<br>En dehors du Pr\u00e9sident de la R\u00e9publique, il est \u00e9galement pr\u00e9vu le poste du pr\u00e9sident du Conseil, celui qui d\u00e9tient r\u00e9ellement l\u2019effectivit\u00e9 du pouvoir. Un poste qui revient de droit au pr\u00e9sident du parti ou de la coalition majoritaire. Les conditions de sa d\u00e9signation sont fix\u00e9es par l\u2019article 48 de la Loi. Au terme de l\u2019alin\u00e9a 2 de cet article, le pr\u00e9sident du Conseil doit \u00ab \u00eatre \u00e2g\u00e9 de quarante (40) ans r\u00e9volus \u00e0 la date de d\u00e9signation \u00bb. Actuellement, ce poste devrait revenir au chef de l\u2019Etat, Faure Essozimna Gnassingb\u00e9, dont le parti l\u2019Union pour la r\u00e9publique (UNIR) a la majorit\u00e9 absolue \u00e0 l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale avec 108 d\u00e9put\u00e9s sur 113.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Jules T\u00e9t\u00e9
