Victoire Tom\u00e9gah-Dogb\u00e9 a proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 la pose de la premi\u00e8re pierre en pr\u00e9sence notamment du ministre de la Sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019Hygi\u00e8ne publique, Prof. Tchin Darr\u00e9, et du pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale, Sevon-T\u00e9p\u00e9 Kodjo Ad\u00e9dz\u00e9. D\u2019une superficie de 1600 m\u00b2, le centre, situ\u00e9 dans l\u2019enceinte du Camp du 1er BIR dans la commune d\u2019Ago\u00e8-Nyiv\u00e9 1, sera \u00e9quip\u00e9 de technologies de pointe pour offrir des traitements modernes aux patients. Il est attendu qu\u2019il contribue \u00e0 renforcer les capacit\u00e9s du r\u00e9seau de sant\u00e9 national, particuli\u00e8rement dans le diagnostic, le traitement et la r\u00e9adaptation des patients atteints de cancer. Ce projet est soutenu par AME International, un partenaire autrichien, avec pour objectif de rendre les services de traitement du cancer accessibles \u00e0 un plus large public, tout en r\u00e9duisant le taux de mortalit\u00e9 li\u00e9 \u00e0 cette maladie au Togo. \u00ab Ce centre restera un pr\u00e9sent pour aujourd\u2019hui qui d\u00e9terminera \u00e0 jamais l\u2019espoir de demain. Nous sommes convaincus que nous construirons un Togo plus fort, plus r\u00e9silient et pr\u00eat \u00e0 relever les d\u00e9fis de demain en mati\u00e8re de lutte contre le cancer \u00bb, a indiqu\u00e9 le ministre de tutelle, Prof. Tchin Darr\u00e9. C\u2019est du reste la deuxi\u00e8me structure exclusivement d\u00e9di\u00e9e au cancer dans le pays, apr\u00e8s le Centre international de canc\u00e9rologie de Lom\u00e9, structure priv\u00e9e lanc\u00e9e en 2022. Le futur centre s\u2019annonce alors que les cas de cancer sont une pr\u00e9occupation croissante dans le pays, et suscite de plus en plus l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat des autorit\u00e9s comp\u00e9tentes. Au Togo, on enregistre officiellement plus de 7000 cas de cancer chaque ann\u00e9e (chiffres de 2022), dont pr\u00e8s de 900 cas p\u00e9diatriques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Marc Okuw\u00e9
